I purchased the book from the publisher on September 5th. I always back up my ebooks, but I can’t find this one. The publisher only allows downloads for 5 days after purchase. Persiphone, Its not that I am not willing to spend money on it, it isn’t even for me, but that I am online now and don’t own a credit card.

I’m currently in the process of putting a charity website that aims to promote reading in Filipino communities. One of the site’s features is that members can download any ebook for a very low price compared to the average selling price. Will this make me liable for a lawsuit from publishing companies? Is this illegal? This is strictly a non-profit organization. The money collected will be used to cover operating costs and to set up scholarships, public school grants, etc.

i have a fine collection of pdf ebooks but, some big name publishers,

one thing i dont like is thats some don’t even have simply index systems built in to navigate the daam book..so i have to write the last page number i was on..then flick through the whole book again..

is there some thing i am missing or it just me…i us adobe acrobat

target.com books and barnesandnoble.com .
I was recently contacting about selling Gameplayer as an eBook and I’m trying to decide.

I’m currently writing a book about search engine optimization for blog posts, and I’m thinking of publishing it as a Portable Document Format (PDF) eBook.

But what legal rights and so one must I be aware of? And can I publish the eBook as a download (secure payments trough PayPal) myself without further ado?

I’m a Norwegian resident so US taxes and so on is irrelevant.

I’m also interested in other tips for eBook publishing.

PS: I’m already aware of PDF encryption and metadata.

I’d like to write an ebook and sell it but I have no idea how this process works. I have seen various ebooks being listed and everyone of them has a publisher, so I am not sure if I need to go through a publisher or not.
