I’m thinking about self publishing my book. What would the easiest/most profitable way to do this?:

1.) Print copies and ship them from my home

2.) Sell it as an ebook

3.) Give it to a publishing house for on demand printing

I have a bunch of articles and poems that I have compiled together and want some way to upload it so that other people can read it for free. Can anyone recommend a way. The ebook is in pdf format.

I am a decent writer, but need help deciding on topics with high demand, the publishing process and marketing.

I’m looking to edit and publish some ebooks, but I want to be the sole owner of this content…I don’t want ten other people selling the same book. Is there a name for these rights? I’m very confused by private resale rights, master resale rights, etc.

Also, any recommendations on where to find ebooks with these rights available would be appreciated. Thanks!

I was wondering if Ebooks are just as marketable as hard copy ones. You see, I am writer or a novelist, and I’m a little bit skeptical to submit my book to a ebook publishing company. In computers or the internet, it is very simple to download things illegal, so I don’t know I wil make too much profit if my book gets sold in the internet. Any suggestions?

I was looking to write and ebook on MySpace and I wanted to know if I need permission before I publish it. I have seen a number of people write books on big sites like MySpace and Ebay and such and I wanted to know what I need to do, if anything, on informing them about it. I am trying to make a children’s book that’s fun! If all goes well, children in the 5/6th Grade Level should enjoy it (however, I want to make it fun for even younger children) Therefore,. I want to make this e-book (and illustrated hard cover book), as simple as possible! I found that Online Wikipedia Dictionary has links on all the necessary terms(but they are too hard to understand the ‘laws of motion’, the laws of Relativity, etc. I want to make it as easy and simple to understand these concepts, as possible! I am also including Nutritional terms, and many other science and math terms (gravity, geometry, velocity, calories, gravity, astronomy, etc) I also could use some pointers on how to promote this children’s book that will have pictures & links (such as ‘how to get traffic’ to the blog or website). Things I’ve experimented with so far:

– Clickbank Affiliate Sales (I’ve made a little bit, but haven’t done an adwords campaign before)

- Clickbank Publisher (I wrote a book – it’s doing well; Sold many copies myself– can’t figure out why affiliates don’t jump on it)

- Adsense (heh… I make under a back a day… big deal)

Any more things I should try…..? Looking to make as much as possible without investing a lot.
