I have a unique marketing concept and I would like to start an online magazine company that allows people to order right online. I understand that there are many others out there but my unique concept is better than those. I would like some ideas about contacting the magazine publishers and setting the wheels in motion and getting my site up.

I have a Kindle and I’d like to be able to transfer (sell or give) my Kindle ebooks to someone else. Is there any way to do this?

I am writing a book and the publisher that im serious about (Tate Publishing) says that I will get 40% of the profit from selling it. (They will get 70%) Is that a good deal? Do you know of another publisher that’s good? Is Tate Publishing a good publisher? THANKS!

I’m a self-publishing writer and wish to sell my own books myself online, I have a website but it’s not e-commerce ready, and I don’t wish to get a merchant account or internet terminal so I can accept credit cards from costomers, instead I wish to find a site where I can list my books at or even just refer books buyesr to it, and they take care of accepting money from byuers, deduct their commissions and deposit my share into my credit card. They are working together for their gain, our loss.

I have written several children’s books throughout the years. I never tried to publish them because of lack of self confidence. Well, I was laid off about three weeks ago and it seems like it’s now time to start. Plus, I have another dream I need to help fund. I have been up and down with the “Writers Market” and frankly it’s too much information. A complete concise book on all the steps would be great. From format, query letter, submission, to acceptance and contractual agreements. I am not interested in ebooks or self publishing ,as I can’t afford that. So what are my alternatives? Is there a publishing house that’s more likely to accept them or do you think selling them in magazines such as Highlights would be a good idea? I have a book called “Formatting your Manuscript” but it’s not very helpful for childrens writing. Thanks everyone.

I’m looking for a photo site (besides public-photo.net) that lets you use photos without permission in published books. Specifically ebooks.

Please give me step-by-step instructions, including what apps I’d need to download (preferably free ones) in order to transfer the ebooks on a macbook to an iPod touch and read them. If there’s a way to bookmark, please tell me. And don’t tell me to buy ebooks from websites. If I already own an ebook, I’d like to read it. Plus it would be nice to rely on an app without wifi.
