Should I start an llc?


Should I start and llc if I’ve written and plan on selling a cookbook without using a publishing company? I plan on putting the cookbook on cd and selling it online and possibly get it into some hospital gift shops. I’m also looking into having it as an ebook

    That’s a good question. Let me start by saying that anyone who has your best interest at heart would tell you this: Speak with an accountant and an attorney! I say this because there are tons of reasons you might want to use a formal business structure like an LLC. Think about taxes and liability. Almost every business gets sued at some point and having a corporate veil to shield your personal assets is the way to go.
