What is the best e-book reader that’s available today?

Are there any that are under $200?
Does any have free e-books available for free download, that could be transferred to other devices?
If anyone has one, what’s your advice in buying one?

    Here’s a list of ebook readers that cost under $200 . . .

All ebook readers have a ton of free ebooks available. Here’s the page for the free ebook sites (all legal) . . .

In truth, the Kindle 2 is probably the best ebook reader available today since the nook is sold out. The Kindle also has a ton of free ebook promotions for newer and popular titles that are added each month.

Kindles books are transferable to other Kindles under the same account, iPhones, iPod touches, and PCs running Amazon’s free PC software. Mac and Blackberry support is coming soon.

Kindles books cannot be transferred to other brands’ ebook readers, however.

However, the best one is still the Amazon Kindle. If you can afford a bit more, you can get the refurbished version. If you’re lucky, you should be able to find it at the bottom of the offer page here:

And I remember I read these reviews when I’m deciding between the Sony Reader and the Amazon Kindle:

And in case you don’t know, Amazon has recently put a price slash on the Kindle 2, and it adds in international wireless access and native PDF support… So take the chance if you want it.

    Hope it helps :)
