Do you like reading ebooks?
I have written a long manuscript.Considering if I should publish that as an ebook. Coz it’s easy to distribute and generally ebooks have higher margins.But, I’m a bit concerned if people really like reading ebooks on computer screen…
What do you say? What do you buy online? ebooks or real books? Do you like reading ebooks or find them extremely tiring?

How do I gently tell a publisher that I need a response soon b/c I want to send it to another publisher?
I submitted a kind of manuscript about 7 months ago to an educational publisher and have heard absolutely nothing. They said they would respond in 3-4 months so now I am planning a follow-up letter. However, I really need a decision b/c I may be able to sell it to another publisher. How do I say this kindly?

What is a good publisher for unknown authors?
I have never written a book, but I have a relly great manuscript. I want to submit it to a publisher, but every publisher I’ve checked doesn’t work with unknowns. I don’t want to self- publish, any one know of any that might give me a shot?

Is it any way likely that literary agents or publishers would steal your work?
Just curious if well recognized literary agents or publishers would ever consider stealing your work? Say, if they sent back your manuscript with a reject slip…would you think that there would be any way that they would go behind your back and try to publish your work anyways?

How do I shop a manuscript to publishers?
I have written a book, I classify it as romance. I’ve spoken with one of my favorite author’s of similar books, but her answers to my questions were somewhat generalized as she said her agent and attorney’s required them to be.
What I need to know is do I send a full copy of the manuscript to each publisher I’m interested in? Or would I send a selection? Do I need to have the work copywritten before shopping it to make sure it’s not given to another author to claim as their own?
Mainly I want to know the best way to get the book out there, into the hands of possibly interested publishers.

Could you please provide me with names of boutique book publishers?
My friend and I are thinking of publishing our manuscript of humorous articles about men-woman relationships. I know it is a special interest book, and we are not well known authors. Are there boutique book publishers who would consider such a project? We really don;t want to go to subsidy publishers like Vantage until we try out a few genuine publishers.

What is the most efficient way to convert several hundred pages of printed text to an ebook?
I have a book only available in book form or as a standard manuscript that I would like to republish. I need to convert the text into some kind of computer saved document so I can publish an ebook or make the manuscript re printable. I’m looking for the most efficient way to do that. I do have a scanner.
